Workshop “trusting and supporting emergence.” with Lynne Jacobs
Early psychoanalysis and early gestalt therapy used to focus on mistakes the patients were making in their lives and in the meanings they attributed to their perceptions. Currently relational theories in gestalt and in psychoanalysis have turned, instead, to trying to find ways to support the patients’ emergence. In gestalt therapy we do this by supporting the patient’s movement into their next moment of awareness. From this newer perspective, we can critique certain gestalt therapy ideas and practices that tend to shame patients, and we can also learn from contemporary psychoanalysis, more refined ways to support the emerging moment in the therapeutic process.
ABOUT LIDER:
Dr. Lynne Jacobs has been exploring the relational dimension of psychotherapy for many years, combining humanistic theories with contemporary psychoanalysis. As an analytical therapist and Gestalt therapist, she is a co-founder of the Pacific Gestalt Institute. She is also a trainer and supervisor at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis (ICP) in Los Angeles. She has published numerous articles and authored several books. Lynne also maintains a private practice in Los Angeles.

HOURS:
Friday: 10 am.- 7 p.m.
Saturday: 10 am.- 7 p.m.
On Friday and Saturday will be 2h break for lunch
COSTS : 400 EUR
1st installment - 150 EUR - needs to be paid within 7 days from the moment of receiving confirmed registration email.
2nd repayment – 250 EUR needs to be paid till 15 june 2026.
